Recombinant Human IL-2
IL-2, is a cytokine of the immune system mainly expressed in T cells. IL-2 influences various lymphocyte cells during differentiation, immune responses and homeostasis. Recombinant human IL-2 consist of 133 amino acids, 14.63 kDa. Core IL-2 is qualified for different applications including immunotherapy of metastatic cancer due to its ability to stimulate cytotoxic T cells.

IL-2 is produced in plant seeds of Camelina sativa bred in our laboratories in Strasbourg, France.

The biological activity of human recombinant IL-2 cytokine was determined by its ability to promote the proliferation of CTLL-2 cells. Cell proliferation was measured using non-radioactive colorimetric assay and monitored by absorbance. ED50 < 0.1 ng/ml.
Low endotoxin level ≤ 0.005ng/µg (≤ 0.005EU/ug of protein) as determined by Limulus Amebocyte Lysate assay.

It is recommended to reconstitute the protein in sterile water to at least a concentration between 0.05-1.0 mg/ml. For dilutions, aliquoting and addition of carrier protein please refer to product’s data sheet or get in touch with our technical support team.
Lyophilised protein is stable at room temperature upon arrival. Once it is reconstituted can be stored at -20ºC or -80ºC for up to 1 year.
