Recombinant Human IL-7

human IL-7, is a hematopoietic growth factor secreted by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus. It is also produced by keratinocytes, dendritic cells, hepatocytes, neurons and epithelial cells. IL-7 supports B and T lymphocyte development, proliferation and homeostasis. It also triggers the differentiation of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells into lymphoid progenitor cells. Recombinant IL-7 human consists of 152 amino acids, 16.72 kDa. Human IL-7 is qualified for different applications including immunotherapy of cancer, during HIV infection or as an hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

IL-7 is produced in plant seeds of Camelina sativa bred in our laboratories in Strasbourg, France.

The biological activity of human recombinant IL-7 cytokine was determined by its ability to promote the proliferation of 2E8 cells. Cell proliferation was measured using non-radioactive colorimetric assay and monitored by absorbance. ED50 < 0.1 ng/ml.

Endotoxin Level:

Low endotoxin level ≤ 0.005ng/µg (≤ 0.005EU/ug of protein) as determined by Limulus Amebocyte Lysate assay.

Lyophilised protein is stable at room temperature upon arrival. Once it is reconstituted can be stored at -20ºC or -80ºC for up to 1 year.
